About Us

A non-profit foundation rooted in Kampung Sitanala

Yayasan Agape Hijau Abadi takes the legal form of a Yayasan (foundation) under the law of the Republic of Indonesia — not a company, and not a profit-oriented organization.

Vision

A Kampung Sitanala community that is healthy, educated, and living in equal dignity — free from the stigma that has long attached to leprosy survivors and their families.

This vision is expressed through the three fields of activity set out in Article 2 of the Akta Pendirian: social, humanitarian, and religious affairs.

Mission

  1. To provide education and learning support for children in the foundation's neighborhood.
  2. To organize social service activities and health care for residents in need.
  3. To provide assistance to families in poverty and to victims of natural disasters.
  4. To strengthen community life and accompany families facing hardship.

Our values

Agape

Love given unconditionally and without distinction between those who receive it.

Dignity

Every resident is served as an equal person, not as an object of pity.

Long-term presence

Our work is carried out inside the village continuously, not as a one-off visit.

Openness

Legal identity, officers, and the use of funds are reported openly.

History

Kampung Sitanala, in Kelurahan Karang Anyar, Kecamatan Neglasari, Kota Tangerang, grew up around the Sitanala leprosy hospital. For several generations, leprosy survivors and their families have lived in the RW 013 neighborhood and have faced social stigma that limits their access to education, work, and general health services. The village is now home to approximately 1,400 households, around 4,500 residents — the entire service area of the foundation lies within it.

The work that became the foundation began with regular visits and accompaniment in this neighborhood together with a supporting community from Korea, Evergreen (늘푸른사랑). As the activities grew into a permanent presence, the founders decided to establish them as an Indonesian legal entity so that the work could run officially, sustainably, and accountably.

Yayasan Agape Hijau Abadi was formally established on 30 June 2021 through Akta Pendirian (deed of establishment) Number 05 before Notaris DR. Diana Ria Winanti Napitupulu, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.Sc. in Kota Tangerang Selatan. The founder on record is Milton Hasibuan, S.H., M.H.
